Introduction: Case Study

Sample data is distributed with the MET tarball. This sample data is contained in the data/sample_fcst/ and the data/sample_obs/ subdirectories. The sample forecast data is the GRIB output of the WRF Post-Processor. It resides on a 185 by 129 Lambert Conformal grid over the Continental United States (NCEP Grid 212), and it will be used throughout this tutorial. The domain is depicted below.
