Welcome to the WRF-NMM Online Tutorial

• This page has been updated to work with version 2.2.1 (or higher) of the WRF-NMM model.

• The WRF Preprocessing System (WPS) was described in the WRF-NMM February 2007 Tutorial and has replaced the WRF Standard Initialization (WRF-NMM SI) in WRF release v2.2.1. One can still use WRF-NMM SI, but it is highly recommended to switch to WPS.

 

Users

• This tutorial has been designed to take you through the WRF-NMM programs step by step.
Simply follow the arrow at the bottom of each page to continue.

• We recommend that you work through this tutorial before you try to run WRF-NMM on your own.
 
• If you plan on attending one of our biannual tutorials in Boulder, we recommend that you work through this online tutorial before attending the tutorial.
