WRF Post Processor Software Package
Please note: No new updates will be provided for the WRF Post Processor software package and support is being phased out. Please migrate to the replacement package - Unified Post Processor (UPP).
The WRF Post Processor has been updated to Version 3.2 on April 2, 2010.
WPP Version 3.2.1 new features, updates and bug fixes
- Bug fix for radar reflectivity computation using the Ferrier scheme.
- Bug fix to interpolate 10 m winds from mass points to velocity points prior to running copygb.
- Bug fix to dewpoint values coming out of CALWXT*.f to decrease values at all levels where percip is occurring.
- Due to GRIB1 limitations, an enhancement was incorporated to utilize the 1/2 and 1/4 hour time units to accommodate longer accumulation periods in minutes before it overflows the one bye storage value.
- Bug fix to output TSHLTR if no other surface fields are requested.
- Fix the scan mode flag for ARW to be S to N (64 rather than 0).
- Enhancement to accommodate ARW regular and rotated lat/lon projections in wrfpost.
- Other miscellaneous bug fixes.
Note: A transition from WPP to the new Unified Post Processor (UPP) is underway with an anticipated release in 2011. UPP has all the current capabilities of WPP with additional enhancements to:
- Process GFS model output
- Output new fields, including isentropic fields and dynamical tropopause fields
