WRF-NMM User Support
wrfhelp is an email assistance service to provide user support. Questions regarding WRF and its use should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Yellowstone, NCAR's supercomputer based on IBM's iDataPlex architecutre, WRF-NMM, WRF Preprocessing System (WPS), and Unified Post Processor (UPP) source codes and pre-compiled executables can be accessed from the /glade/u/home/wrfhelp directory. The terrestrial datasets used in WPS are available in the wrfhelp's account under /glade/u/home/wrfhelp/WPS_GEOG.
How to report a problem
If you would like to report a problem, you may send an email to email@example.com, making use of the subject line to indicate the issue. If you have received an error message in attempting to compile and run the system software, please include it in the email.
For compilation problems, return the code to the original state (e.g. by typing clean -a for WRF, and make cleanall for WRF-NMM SI, or begin with a new tar file), recompile, and save the compilation output to a file, and send it in the email. If you have made modification to the code, always test the provided code first.
For run-time problems, locate the error messages, and include them in the email. In addition, including your namelist file is helpful.
