HWRF System

    To begin downloading HWRF, enter your email address:

    As of August 5, 2011, the current code version is 3.3a, corresponding to the WRF V3.3 release.

    The beta V0.9 release is no longer supported.

HWRF Components and Libraries

The HWRF system consists of the source code for the HWRF Utilities, POM-TC, NCEP Coupler, GFDL Vortex Tracker, WRF, WPS, community GSI, and UPP. Customized versions of all of these components are available from this site.

Two additional libraries are required:

  • netCDF v3: built with the same compiler used to build the HWRF system.
  • MPICH or OPENMPI : built with the same compiler used to build the HWRF system.
