Release Notes for METv3.0.1
What's New?
While METv3.0.1 primarily contains the bugfixes for METv3.0, some minor enhancements have been added. Please refer to the MET User's Guide for more detail on these additions:
- Distribute latest set of bug fixes for METv3.0.
- Add support for the biliear interpolation method when verifying with point observations in the Point-Stat and Ensemble-Stat tools. This interpolation option is specified in the configuration files by setting the interp_mthd to BILIN.
- Modify the algorithm used to derive relative humidity for point observations in the PB2NC tool to be consistent with the method used by the NCEP Unified-PostProcessor (UPP).
- Change the assumed radius of the earth from 6367.47 km to 6371.20 km to be consistent with NCEP's w3 library used by WRF and UPP, including copygb.
- Ensure that the METv3.0.1 software is fully compatible with output from METv3.0.
